Yup, it's that same old cliché: a great little café in a big ol' shopping mall. In this case Lan's pan-Asian fare is the perfect antidote to the big chain stores of Dadeland Station, where it's located on the ground floor. Items range from superior sushi to glazed baby-back ribs, homemade spinach-and-chive dumplings, and seafood and green papaya salad. A mainly Japanese sensibility informs many of the entrées, including garlic beef tataki, cold buckwheat noodle salad, and a fabulous katsudon (fried pork with eggs and onions over rice). Save space for inventive but not overdone desserts like the spring rolls stuffed with pumpkin and apple. Lunch and dinner.
