You feel a shudder of delight when a new product hits the makeup aisle at the drugstore, and a trip to Sephora can damn near give you a shopping orgasm. You’re a product junkie. A beauty addict. You can’t get enough eyeliner, lip gloss, and mascara. Don’t be ashamed -- indulge your addiction today at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The one and only The Makeup Show is coming to Miami for the first time, and it’s going to be a wonderland for artists and aspirants like yourself.

One of the keynote speakers will be Billy B, whose name is often whispered in hushed tones by makeup groupies. The man has done just about every celebrity you can think of, from Missy Elliott and Beyoncé to Sarah Jessica Parker and Liza Minnelli. When we caught up with him on the phone, he had just come from the Grammy Awards show, where his mission was to make the incomparable Tina Turner gorgeous for her big performance of “Proud Mary.” Today he’ll present a master workshop titled “Beautiful Makeup” from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. “I’m not sure how much is hands-on teaching, versus inspiring. All I can do is tell the truth and then you can make it your own,” he says. “My advice to the artists who will be attending is be patient and hone your craft.” The beautifying event takes place today and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30 to $45 in advance, $40 to $65 at the door. Hands-on workshops run $135, master workshops $275.
